Exhibition Gallery of the Museum

After Paris, the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum will host the exhibition «L’Hôtel Gulbenkian, 51 avenue d’Iéna. Memory of the Place». The exhibition tells the story of the home of Calouste Sarkis Gulbenkian in Paris, located at no. 51, av. d’Iéna, in close connection with the exceptional path of the owner, a collector and a business man, and with the Foundation he left to Portugal.

Bought in 1922 by the Collector in order to live there with his family and install his collection of works of art, the building is the home of the Calouste Gulbenkian Cultural Centre since 1965. To illustrate the history of the site, from the remodelling works executed and the protagonists, the life experiences that took place in the house and the personality of its owner, to the activities of the Centre and its future, using new facilities, several documents, plans, upright projections, drawings and audiovisual materials are shown.

The exhibition can be visited in Paris (51 avenue d'Iéna) until the 2nd September.
